International Tax Director (US Focus)
As part of the tax team, you will provide tax expertise on international tax implications for multinational companies, essentially located in US, in relation, but not limited, to tax structuring, mergers, restructurings and transfer pricing.
Mazars is seeking outstanding individuals who will enhance a team committed to be the emerging consulting & advisory firm in Luxembourg.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide international clients with tax advisory services; optimize client’s tax positions;
- Coordinate with other local or foreign based colleagues;
- Develop a close relationship with our US tax colleagues in order to develop a US clients portfolio;
- Participate in various internal and external industry working group, where your specific competencies will allow to participate in the development of the tax department;
- Anticipate and respond to the clients’ needs, becoming a respected business partner;
- Develop the business/marketing strategies of the department by targeting clients/prospects according to a defined business plan;
- Develop products and services are to constantly meet clients’ expectations/needs;
- Manage your dedicated P/L growth;
- Define and implement the HR strategy of the department as to accomplish the targets included in your business plan;
- Management of a client portfolio within the tax service line and act as focal point of contact for our clients based on trust;
- Be in charge of multicultural Mazars professionals by coordinating, coaching/training and developing our talents;
- Participate in the growth and eminence of Mazars by promoting our services and representing the firm at external events (e.g. participate to external working groups, write articles).
Your profile:
- You hold a Master’s degree (Economics, Finance, Accounting or Tax law);
- You have at least an experience of 10 years in international tax, with a focus on the US market, in an audit/tax advisory firm, law firm or corporate headquarter;
- You demonstrate ability to identify tax consulting opportunities and a willingness to proactively market tax services;
- You have an analytical mindset and good organisational skills;
- You have an ability to manage, develop and retain a team of skilled tax professionals;
- You are fluent in French and English. Other languages are an advantage (e.g. German).
